Trail near Wilmington?
Does anyone know the name of the trail to the lookout of Whiteface that begins on Franklin Falls Road not far from the Whiteface toll road. We walked it today. What a great view for a stroll in the woods. The trailhead sign was removed so I don't know the name.

From http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/9163.html:
Cobble Lookout This trail in the Wilmington Wild Forest extends 1.3 miles with little change in elevation from a trailhead on Gillespie Drive (aka Franklin Falls Road) to a large rocky ledge with views of nearby Whiteface Mountain, and across the Ausable River drainage to Jay Mountain, Hurricane Mountain, and many other peaks. Trailhead Coordinates: 44.4040°N, 73.8789°W Google Maps (leaves DEC website) |

It's also sometimes called Cobble Ledge.
