Your favorite backwoods pond/lake

Just checking for peoples opinions on thier favorite backwood pond/lake. Want to head up to the 'Dacks in may and spend sometime fishing the backcountry and looking for suggestions.
Thanks in advance

Ummm, I might tell you roughly my favorite area, but never will I reveal in a public forum my truly favorite remote backcountry destinations and routes.
The Adirondack Explorer already comes close enough to doing that.
Then again, my favorite might not be the same as others' favorites... the fun is in getting out there and discovering what you like.

My favorite place is a place no one else knows about.

I am in Rochester. If you ever need a buddy for a hike or a camping in WNY, send me a PM.

Picking a "favorite" place is tough for me. Depends on the situation; what to fish for, how many days, how far, hiking, canoeing, camping, how many people?

I have 10 or so "favorite backwoods ponds." - But one area where everything always seems to work out perfect for me, is the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness. To me that's home. So I guess that's my answer --JF

Heyyyyyy.... something looks very familiar in that photo!

It's truly amazing how many beat up boats and make-shift paddles I've seen that look just like that.

Be sure to wear your PFD.

Man...I think that picture is a classic!!!

Depicts life in a remote Adk Pond...the name of the game is innovating...very clever paddle building guys.... Sure you won`t want to apply for a job making paddles for Peter Hornbeck?

My favorite is a large bracket fungus lashed to a stick. I've seen that one a couple of times. Then there's the forked stick with duct tape wrapped between the forks as a close second. They wouldn't be so bad if the boats didn't leak so much.

Didn't that picture come with a story about Daisy eating steaks? Or was that another camping trip?
