pond flies

Hello, haven't been around too much...Those of you who remember me carrying my battleship up the mountain know I'm more of a stream guy but a good friend of mine showed up with a grade A Artcic fox pelt for me and he is a pond hopper. I want to tie up a dozen or so streamers for him for Christmas using the Arctic Fox. I have Black Ghost, Royal Coachman, Grey Ghost, An orange and White Streamer and a Blue and White Streamer tied Ghost style. Any others I should have. And what sizes for brookie ponds? I tied them on a 6 4x long. I have some 4's 4x long hooks as well.

Shaq,

Those are great choices. Perhaps if you can cut out some strips, you could tie some zonker patterns as well. Just a thought.

The prelim selection so far. Coin is a quarter, for size. Any suggestions?

Nice flies Shaq, your ties remind me that I've strayed from the streamer path as of late. Here's one of my favorites for ponds or streams:

I like calftail wing versions the best but the artic fox certainly works. Better yet is polar bear if you can get it.

Ghostly and beautiful, Shaq. CW - I use a red & white very similar to that fly you posted. Is it April yet?
