Question Snow in Newcomb?

I'm thinking of climbing Goodnow Mt. sometime in the next week. Does anyone know if there's snow in Newcomb yet. Wondering whether I'll need snowshoes, microspikes, neither, both? I've also heard that hunting is not allowed there. Can anyone confirm that? Should I wear the orange vest just in case?
Thanks for any info you can offer.

Based on past experience I'd bring the snowshoes but you won't need them. Its a pretty popular climb and the trail is usually beat down pretty good. There is no hunting on or off the trail.
Great view. Last time I climbed it in winter I cried. Not from the view but the damn wind. Felt like someone stabbing me in the face.

On the subject of the wind, I'd recommend a face mask, scarf, hat, and vaseline to cover exposed skin to protect from wind/freeze burn of you feel its necessary.

I was in Newcomb today working. There's about 3" of snow on the ground.
I talked with a couple lads whom had just climbed Goodnow, they stated that they had microspikes with them but did not need them.
