Canoe cover
I seem to recall seeing somewhere a "canoe sock" or cover that is pulled over the end of a canoe and slid the whole length to protect the canoe during transport. It would help with road rash etc. It would also keep expensive and pretty boats from unwanted attention in parking lots, hotels etc. Thoughts anyone? Thanks.

Years ago I remember a woman who went by the business name of the "Bag Lady." She made covers to order for your canoe. I used to see her add at various canoe events around NYS so you might want to try finding her under that name via your favorite search engine. If I come up with anything more concrete, I'll chime in again.
That's all for now. Take care and until next time...be well. snapper |

WaterRings - Just found that link above that should get you some results. Seems like the original Bag Lady has retired but has handed things off to these folks. Hope this helps. Take care and until next time...be well. snapper |

Very commonly seen at canoe races where paddlers of expensive canoes travel some distance. There is a another woman, often seen racing, who also makes covers. First name is Blanche. I don't recall her last name but could find it if pressed.

I just had a canoe cover made for my GRB Classic XL for $150. Quality material and excellent work. Check www.midnight-seamstress.com. Blanche Town is the proprieter and she is located in Canton.

Blanche is a nice person. She did a lot of work with bald eagles.

And she is an excellent strong canoe racer, always near the top of the pack.
