Is Long Lake accessible if one was to take 28 from Warrensburg? We have a bunch of guys headed up to camp the end of this week and next and I am trying to get some specifics on 28 or rt 30 from Blue Mountain on road closures. some hikers got lost because of blowdown (due to the storm, I'm assuming) on Nov 3 on the trail to Gothics - from this week's rescues report:

Forest Ranger Mecus found the hikers on the Beaver Meadow Falls trail leading back down to the AMR Lake Road. The hikers said they had gotten off the trail when navigating around blowdown and were unable to find the trail again until the morning.

My brother drove from Glens Falls to Cranberry Lake on Tuesday with no issues.

As for Perkins Clearing, I'd stay tuned or call the town of Speculator.

The storm changed our plans for this past Saturday. We took a chance on Sunday and were able to get close, but not all the way in, to our camp in Warren County. We'll see about the week ahead, as I have plans to go in late next week for a few days. A few of the camps are isolated right now, and likely will be for some time.

Got an email from the Region 5 Forester earlier today that road access to Spruce Lake (Perkins Clearing/ Jessup River Rd.) has been restored.
