Nippletop Mountain, Dix Mountain Wilderness 10/12/15

Bushwhacked to Nippletop Mountain yesterday via a faint path from the
Walker Brook trail.

Gorgeous day!

A few photos...

Nice! Great day. Liked the look over to the "other" Nippletop.

Very nice! Coming down along its SE ridge from N-top south we found a 45 gallon drum in the woods close to the summit. Maybe it was once full of beer?

My kind of "summit party" haha.
There was another barrel along the Nippletop/Niagara stream...

Justin,

I forgot to ask, is this the same Nippletop that you can see from the east end of (B)ass Lake in the HPWF?

Yes, but I think your photo may be of Macomb...?

Here's what Nippletop (with it's two boobs) looks like from Bass Lake...

OK, I think I see now. I was looking at your pict and mine and trying to figure out how we saw two different mountains while standing in the middle of Bass Lake. I think I was a little more to the SE than you were. Still, the angle on the shoreline landmarks looks pretty close.

Thanks for setting me straight (so to speak).
