NICE!!!
That's a great laker. About 10 years ago I caught a 32'' laker in a wilderness pond, it dragged my canoe around for a while, once I got it next to my boat I realized that my little trout net was very inadequate and had to gill him to get him in the boat.

Thanks, guys. I owe so much to the membership of this forum, especially those I've traded advice with for years. My very first post on this forum years ago dealt with lake trout; landing a fish like this has been a dream of mine for some time. I couldn't have done it without years of educating myself on trout fishing wilderness waters, and much of that knowledge was acquired here. I can't say it loud enough. THANKS!!!

Ghost: Were you fishing for lakers when you caught it or did you get surprised? Very nice fish. What did you catch it on? I'm envious.

OMG.....always nice to see a VERY happy fisher and a monster trout! Nicely done.....it's pictures like this that inspire me to hit the ponds and lakes right after ice out....many times I get skunked...but each year I'm always trying....cuz ya can't catch a monster trout like that sitting at home! Quite the inspirational picture Grey Ghost.....congrats!
