Trail Signs
Has anyone noticed the new trail signs popping up this spring? I've been on half-a-dozen hikes and there's been new signage at just about every trail head and junction. They can take down our brown guard rails, but leave the brown and yellow signs. Map, compass, GPS, NAVAIDS aside, there's nothing more re-assuring to me than seeing a sign pointing the way to my destination.
Some of these new signs look like post-Irene repairs and I'm sure others are part of normal maintenance. Either way, huzzah to the folks who make the signs and keep the trails looking good!
