We've had a Marcy, Colden (coalie), and Algonquin (quin).

Ausable!

I know I am probably too late but for an ADK girl dog the name has to be Skylight!

This thread really caught my eye as I just had to have our black lab put down May 2. She will be missed for a good long time and her loss still hurts a great deal. Putting down a dog has to be one of life's most difficult decisions and the memory (had to do it 3 times so far) remains vivid forever. At any rate, lots of good suggestions here. I hope you find one you like and more importantly, that you enjoy your new dog and that she enjoys you. Gotta love those labs--hard to beat their temperment.

My condolences EagleCrag, that is a tremendous loss.
