Actually, the L2 at Weller Pond is reserveable because it is under the jurisdiction of the Saranac Lake Islands Campground. I don't remember the site number, but you can look it up. I'm not up to speed on regulations about max numbers, but it's definitely worth checking out. As state campgrounds go, this place is a gem. We were able to park for three nights at the Middle Saranac lot off of SR 3. It's not a long paddle to Weller.
