Camped there with Scouts a few years back. Lean-tos on pond and this open field that had turf over gravel. Rained all night but the ground drained so well never got muddy. Tough on tent stakes though.

Well, +1 on Adirondack Loj if you are new to both winter camping and the Adirondacks. But it sounds like you have some experience. I still like the Loj because it is pretty good at spoofing true...
