We did that paddle 45 years ago with the BSA. I remember cranberry bogs and associated infrastructure. That and having a wet behind on the drive home that evening. Spent a lot of time in the water!

Out and back section hiking

That is how we did the CL50.We did two overnights,one at High Falls and the other at Irish Pond. Really got to know the trail and environs well.

We are glad you spoke to Susie. They are nice ppl at the Pinecone. Depending on the wind any arm of Cranberry can be 'exciting '! Most of the sites on DCF see a fair amount of use during peak summer...

The water level on cranberry is down about 2 feet. Depending on type of craft you might want to reconsider Columbian Rd. That said there is limited parking in Wanakena on Ranger School Rd.Obey any...
