There is definitely a well used campsite at the north end of big pond, not far from the trail, with a side trail to it. But last I was there, I could not find a camp here disk.

Theres really no reason to use the ladders. That trail goes well above the pond, and then you will have to down climb to the pond. The western trail to the pond has no ladders that I can remember.

Yep, that's the spot I was thinking of. And yes it's much much worse than it was in the fall. Seems like a good place for those two log/beam bridges.

I think he's talking about a section about halfway from buckhorn outlet to rt 8. It's been flooded on and off for ten years or so.....lately it hasnt been an issue, just some rock hopping. But...
