Congrats! any deer with the bow is a memory never to be forgotten. Always nice to have venison in the freezer early too. He will eat very well!

you couldn't pick a better gun for the thick of the Dacks than a 30-30. I own a Marlin 30-30 (1956 vintage) and its been very reliable for me. Try different manufactures loads in it...
