"Easy" Winter Peak?

Anyone have a good recommendation for a relatively easy peak in the southern Adirondacks? Preferably one that can done in snowshoes without the need for spikes? I was thinking Bald Mountain, but I know there can be some icy spots there that may require some spikes.

Hadley Mtn. Nice and easy one to check out your equipment. Use to be the first winter hike, with snowshoes, of every winter. When I lived in NY.

I broke a fun trail up to the cliffs on Trout Lake Mtn the other day (see trip reports). Or you have Good Luck Mtn across the way...

A great little hike described in this link:

I wouldn't worry too much about icy spots on Bald Mt. the surrounding woods are pretty open and it shouldn't be too hard to get into deeper snow if you feel the need to circumvent an icy section.

Another comparable option in the same area would be Rocky Mt. in Inlet. Both peaks have great views for small effort required for the hike. If it were me, I'd do both.

I've always liked Black Bear Mountain. Can be reached from the same trailhead as Rocky but a little longer. In good weather I've done all 3 in the same day.

Black Bear is a good one as well. The longer trail around the "back" of the summit is much more mild than the more direct trail.

There are a lot of good, small peaks in that area. All close to the road and frequently travelled. IMO, a good place to start hiking peaks in winter

If you're looking for something less travelled the Vista Trail between the Sis & Bubb trailhead and Rondaxe Rd. is a good option. Although I wouldn't count on it being broken out.

Sleeping Beauty is broken out. Great views for a relatively small investment of your time.
